A 39 GHz spatial division multiplex MU-MIMO using 256 element hybrid AAS for IAB application

Abstract This paper describes the design and implementation of a 39 GHz 256-element hybrid active phased array antenna system with 16 individual digital transceivers, its wireless multi-user, multi-input, multi-output verification. An earlier version this was presented at 2021 51st European Microwave Conference published in Proceedings [1]. Using prototype device, single carrier transmission test assuming mobile backhaul link MU-MIMO using zero-forced orthogonal multi-beam based on channel reciprocity an access performed. As result, EIRP 43 dBm data rate 5.5 Gbps 1 bandwidth 128QAM operation estimated total throughput 2.4 by 3GPP TS38.214 [2] 100 MHz OFDM 8 were achieved, respectively. far as author knows, is first demonstration for integrated (IAB) application that uses band.
